Would a pankration match count towards an amateur mma record?
So, I was looking at old Bas Rutten Pancrase matches, and I see that the Pancrase fights count towards your professional record even though they only allow the open palm strikes to the head, and have rules like 5 escapes, and the ten counts for a downed fighter. Would an average pankration match count towards an amateur mma record, seeing as how they have similar rules to pancrase? (No strikes to the head, no heel hooks, etc) Plus Pancrase is taken from the word Pankration anyway, I don't know how much that affects anything, but I'm throwing it out there.
