How do i get my macbook pro connected to my TV via my bose speaker system?

my system has inputs for either CBL-SAT or VCR, CBL-SAT is already occupied by my tv set top box, and when I plugged it into my VCR input I can't get sound. I'm using a macbook pro 13" I5 on windows 7. Also, I can't get my entire screen onto the TV, since things like the start bar go missing
