Whats the difference between these 2 degrees BS Computer Information Systems and BAS Information Technology?

Im currently enrolled in a 4 year university and was pursuing a BS Computer Information Systems... My University recently opened a new degree which is a BAS Information Technology... If I decide to switch my Major to BAS Information Technology I will be able to finish school a lot faster than if i get the BS Computer Information Systems... The advisors at school are not much help... I would like to know how good is the BAS Information Technology degree out in the real world? My advisor cant answer this question because she said the degree is new to the university... Can someone please explain the difference of the 2 and can you get the same jobs with either degree?
