English to Scottish Gaelic translation?

I have tattoos of symbols of life and death, and for each I want to get the translation in the scottish form of gaelic. I know "life" is Beatha, and I think "death" is b�s. Just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny that before i get it put on my body permanently
