Sims 3 update Not working ?

Ok so I updated my sims 3 game and its version 6.5.011031 and it says it's updated but I keep getting an error message that says your the sims 3 base game us incompatible with the current sims 3 expansion pack. Please update your game via the game launcher . Please help !!
