Do I need a visa if I have a connecting flight?

I'm flying to Guatemala from London via Miami. I was wondering because I am British citizen do I need a visa for the US because I'm flying into Miami. Even though I will not be leaving the airport and getting my connection flight to Guatemala 5 hours later.
